Southern Kettle Moraine Challenge Adventure Race

What: A 10-hour adventure race in the scenic southern unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest that will include on- and off-road biking, paddling, trekking and great navigation.

When: Saturday, October 10, 2009

Where: Race will start and finish at the DJ Mackie picnic area located on Hwy ZZ just east of Hwy 67 in the town of Ottawa.  See Driving Directions link for detailed directions.

Teams: Will consist of two persons and results will be broken down by team configuration into the following four divisions which may consist of all male (MM), co-ed (MF) or all female (FF). A masters division (M) is also available for teams whose combined ages total at least 90 years and may consist of any gender configuration.

Race Distances: The following are approximate distances for each race event: Running: 3 miles; Road Biking: 37 miles; Paddling: 4-5 miles; Mountain Biking: 5 miles; Trekking/Nav: 5-7 miles depending on your route choice

Prizes: Great REI gear prizes will be given to the winner's in all four divisions. Awards will be given to the top three teams in each division. 

Post-Race Dinner: This will be a great feast as always and food will be ready as soon as the first team arrives and we'll keep it hot until the last team finishes!
